Anne Hathaway – actress

These are Anne Hathaway’s good things.

Good things to read.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.  Of recording it for Audible.com she said “The more fun you have with it, the sillier and the more free you get with it, the better it is because it’s a story that can handle it. It’s amazing to be able to discover something new about something you feel you know so well.”

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  Telling the AP “I wanted to be Mary Lennox so badly.”

And if you want an English accent?  Hathaway recommends – Watching the English by Kate Fox.

Good things to watch.

Telling Empire Online she said “Spirited Away is one of my all-time favorite movies.”

In an NPR interview Hathaway talks about the other actors she’s worked with who do fantastic jobs.  “I am an actor who believes film is the director’s medium. And I got along so well with [director] Ang Lee [on Brokeback Mountain] because I showed up and said, ‘What color do you need me to be today in your painting?’ I was so happy to serve him and his story and his vision, so I would just do anything he told me to do.”  And other actresses?  Meryl Streep was very instructive “From a technical standpoint, I didn’t know how she could be so on top of everything and still be so relaxed. And that just really blew my mind — how deep in her bones she’d taken the character.” And Julie Andrews is “the nicest person, she couldn’t be warmer.”

Good things to use.

Talking with New magazine in 2009 she mentions Chanel perfume, her dogs, and flying first class. The interview fails to mention if she likes all of them at once, probably not.
